But that is actually part of the text. Because Dany is the daughter of the mad queen, every action she take is scrutinized, both by viewers AND the people in-universe. Every person that meets her thinks of her as the mad queens daughter. During her first meeting with Jon she had to basically explain why she wasn't like her father. Her reputation precedes her.
Also, its not true that it is based on "nothing else." People have been predicting mad queen dany before the show was even thought of.
Remember in season 6 when she had to be talked out of burning the slave cities to the ground? Killing the very slaves she was trying to save? And Tyrion talked her off the ledge by comparing her to her father?

This is coming from a new fan who binged watched the show just to be in on this moment (final season hype). I didn’t binge it twice like most day one fans said I should. So I guess y’all can take this with a grain of salt.
Also, keep in mind I read spoilers.
This season is kinda trash. They hyped up the night king and white walkers then got them out of here quick (I thought episode 3 was fire)
I just don’t get it. Seems like they’re just rushing stuff to get it over with it .. along with pleasing fans that wanna just post memes and overhype it.
I was big fan of LOST and this last season is giving me those vibes.

this season has been ok so far. i'm actually glad they got rid of the white walker story. that shyt was boring and the story dragged on longer than i would've liked.
the one thing this season has revealed to me is wack and annoying jon snow is. this dude makes the dumbest decisions and is always saved by someone else. i would hate to see him take the iron throne or see him stand at the end. he's one character that should die off for sure.

I read all the books first and loved watching how the first 4 or 5 seasons unfolded, but in terms of writing, the show took a plummet.
The pacing is WAY faster than it was in the beginning. Entire battles are being side paneled.
If the writers still had the support or interest that they had in the first few seasons, Missande being captured would have been shown in its entirety and it would have been a monumental moment. Instead they jump from, ships destroyed to her standing on the wall with Cersei out of no where like "Oh yeah, by the way, we captured your home girl".
The biggest crime of this entire series is going to be how they built up the white walkers for so long and got rid of them so quickly with no in depth explanation as to who the night king was, and the back story behind his motivations. I know they touched on it very briefly, but nothing that really gives it justice considering how long the build up was and how much detail we have about every other major character.

Only MCU movie I ever enjoyed was Black Panther. It’s all subjective though.
