Curious to know how close the ending will be to what George had planned. I know he gave them the ending essentials, but wondering how much the Showrunners had to call an audible on, or even add.

Also interested to see if it will actually play a factor in what George writes for the final book.

rewatching all the seasons and I'm starting the last one now... I don't know if this is correct, but I think the line "poison is a women's weapon" plays out in the show

Jon Arryon was poisoned by Lyssa. Joffrey was poisoned by Lady Tyrell. All the men at the Frey's were poisoned by Arya.. all men every time too


Then the only times men tried to use poison... The guy tried to poison Danny with the wine.. he failed and was killed. And that old guy tried to poison the red woman, and he failed and was killed.... shyt even Oberyn tried it on the Mountain... was killed and failed


Does this hold up? Anybody remember any other poisonings?

I started a rewatch of the show and I'm on season 3 right now. Theres so much stuff I forgot about and didn't even notice the first time. I can't wait for season 8.

Gregor Clegane is very dead. A shell now. The venom Oberyn used was too make sure that dude died for sure and in the most painful way just in case he won.

Mountain's reanimation and the wights btw are pretty close to the OG zombie lore. Haitian voodoo priests would raise the dead to do their bidding. Those zombies had no free will or sense of self and they weren't out eating folks brains.

In the books, Gregor Clegane's head is sent to Dorne as proof he's dead since Qyburn didn't need it. Bran Stark has a prophetic dream that shows him inside the Mountain's helmet is just made up thick and dark blood. That dude gone imo.

Mirri Maz Durr poisoned Drogo, right? Didn't kill him, but that wasn't the goal. Also, Myrcella was killed by Ellaria via poison, so not only men have been killed.

It should be noted that Lysa and Lady Tyrell were carrying out Littlefinger's plan tho, and he secured the poison.

Been awhile since I’ve read it, but I was under the impression that it wasn’t really Gregor’s head that was sent to Dorne. Not sure if Doran was convinced it was him, either.
