Exactly. I'm ok using canon/lore to support what we see and hear on screen, but I can't use canon/lore to contradict what's on screen.

If on screen he looks only slightly better than a washed up mediocre fighter and gets told to his face that he's a hoe who just knows how to choose his opponents wisely (and then agrees with it), how can I dismiss that for realm rumors...stories not even good enough to get written in that book of great deeds?

So Robb says after they won at the Twins about Jamie "We saw him cut through five of our men", he also said it in a way to imply that "This dude was trill enough to cut through five of my HITTAS". Going even as far to refuse a DUEL against jamie because he KNEW he would lose to him...

I wanna see some stories on Sothoryos,Asshai,Yi ti Empire, the founding of Braavos(started by slaves who rebelled against valyrians).

Age of Heroes should be dope...will fill in the blanks on Azor Ahai, How the wall got built, and probably whatever they don't tell us about the whitewalkers in this last season.

Like I've said repeatedly, compare Jamie v. Ned to Dayne v. Ned

Dayne was washing Ned, Jamie wasn't despite Ned's flabbyness.

Jamie and Garlan over Barriston the bold?

Yeah. Garlan sounds formidable but he doesn't have the feats to be place that high. All we know about him is that he trains by sparring 4v1 and that he killed one of Stannis' rando commanders when they attacked King's Landing.

Shame the show killed off ALL the Tyrell's like that They were one of the cooler houses in the south.

jon and arya > anyone else

we saw arya play with big brienne like she was a bum.

jon gets that high rank due to coming out on top against the p4p greatest competition in the whitewalkers/wights. I don't think anyone else on the list has shown the heart and grit needed.

Edit: Jon getting up from a fallen horse, brushing himself off, taking off his belt so he can't sheath his sword and facing up to ramsey's army is one of the most moments in tv/movie history.
