What game won best RPG? It was either FF7R or Persona 5 Royal so I'm assuming 7R won it.
I thought the gameplay, presentation and visuals were amazing. Straight 10/10 across the board on those fronts but the story didn't work for me. Had nothing to do with LGB stuff either. Just didn't like how the story played out and the narrative didn't make sense in some parts.Never played the game or the first one so I can't even front. I just find it hilarious a game with that much hate, and shady nonsense from Neil, horrid review score, staggered sales, and doing what they can to get it off the shelves compared to GOT swept the whole award.
but a dub is a dub. I'll just watch the bickering from both sides.
I will say this tho, regardless of the hating, I don't believe the gameplay and visuals were shytted on, so there's that.

100% agree. At the end of the day Persona 5R is just an enhanced version of the original while both FF7R and even Yakuza 7 are both unique gaming experiences.
I was surprised that Persona V even got nominated again.
