Eddie George actually does theatre all over the country. Film is a whole different beast for anyone regardless of stature, but he's been in plays from coast to coast for a good 5-10 years now.

THE ROCK VS THE SHAW BROTHERS SPIN OFF

I guess this was Rock's "Financial" apology, lol. j/p After Rock was first introduced in "Fast Five" I knew he as going to be an important character. He's brought so much to the Franchise in the last 4 films and this is the best route for the first Spin Off (Really the 2nd as Tokyo Drift is technically a Han solo film). Also Rock and Jason dynamic in the two films have been great. I also think a Side Luda and Tyrese story could eventually happen down the line if they want to focus in on other characters. As I said in the thread above, now the Franchise isn't going anywhere, it's one of the biggest in Box Office History. As people see, "Fast 8" is zooming towards 1 Billion very quickly. Yes Domestically is dropping but overseas seems to be offsetting any stateside loss overall. They are going to do spin-offs after 9 and 10 and then they can fully reboot with a new generation of drivers. Vin will probably always be the Executive Producer even if 10 is his last appearance.
