My only issue with the movie is that they doubled down on the "Shaw is a misunderstood anti-hero" thing without ever tackling the fact that this a$$hole murdered Han.

The sequel better have Eteon pull out Han as their Chinese Superman who they brainwashed to be a bad guy and Shaw has to finally address what he did to dude.

And somebody needs to remake Tango & Cash just so new audiences can get a taste of the nonsensical levels of awesome fukkery that movie gave us.

I’ve been writing a tango and cash remake in my head for about 5 years. I’m ready.

And yeah Chris Morgan said justice for han is coming. And Shaw knows it’s a debt he needs to pay

I predicted this Spin Off after "Furious 7" in that very thread so it was cool to see it come together. The movie was basically a throwback to 80/90's Action Buddy Cop Blockbusters. But it really did feel like a direct season to "Fate of the Furious" so like Fast and Furious 8.5. The plot was typical and the humor was cheesy at times but overall it was a hell of a ride. It definitely had that "Buddy Cop" feel too. They kept the "Family" theme by exploring both Shaw and Hobbs families histories. They are trying to make Shaw an "Anti-Hero" with the story but there is more work to do obviously. I enjoyed Rock showing off his Samoan culture on the big screen. Jason of course killed it too with the fights. I thought Idris was dope Villain, I like how unstoppable he was. His fighting, the Tech, His motivations, again he was a solid villain. I have to be honest, I left the theater feeling a bit nostalgic because the whole time I watching, I couldn't stop thinking of a certain Classic 80's cartoon.

This movie felt like what a GOOD Live Action "G.I. Joe" movie I've always dreamed of could be (Not the ones they released). Idris character could of been working for Corba and even looked like Cobra Commander with his helmet on. All those technological weapons too. Rock and Jason could easily been G.I. Joe Characters (LOL, Rock played it G.I. Joe: Retaliation). The things they were doing and the over the top action and skills was on point too. The storyline felt like a G.I. Joe plot to (Cobra trying to get a deadly virus to destroy the world), lol. But seriously it was a good spin off with many ways they go further. I give it a solid B, I had a good time. Overall the fukkery was worth the price of admission. The Cameo's did surprise me because I heard nothing about them before the movie was released, lol. Box office is looking straight, it is a Spin Off so it isn't gonna do "F&F" main numbers. But they did spend a lot on it. Rumored budget is about 200 Million. F&F is pretty big overseas so they are hoping that offsets this budget.

Whenever I have thought of a Tango & Cash remake I always envisioned Stallone being Yves Perret and Russell being Owen the weapons guy.

this was pure fukkery

great action

when they both said no fukking way :russ:

Mike oomacox :dead: (or however the fukk it was spelled)

the Hart cameo was cool

loved the finale in samoa...thought they started the fight like at midnight but shyt got sunny mad quick and based off hattie's arm, less than 10 mins passed :mjlol: and even if they fought at sunrise, the transition ain't less than 10 mins in real life

overall, pure dumb action fukk shyt fun

Was the 2 hrs length fine or did you think it should have been a little shorter?
I just got back from this and it felt like 3 hours. It definitely should have been shorter. I dropped off a couple of times near the end.
They should have established the characters and then immediately gone to Samoa instead of giving you damn near an entire movie and then ........ going to Samoa for the ending.

Are we to believe that there is a sequel in the mix?
also
