I don't mind if they switch tings up a bit. The Fast 5 through 8 model was genius but it's not going to be sustainable for much longer.

He's writing the Hobbs and Shaw flick. That should freshen him up too so if he needs to come back for part 10, which is supposedly the "end" then he'll have fresh eyes

screenwriter on a podcast i listen to dropped some knowledge about this very thing on their Die Hard episode. He said hollywood is all about giving people what they want and whenever we complain about no new ideas, there are plenty of ideas and a lot of them are new. But they rarely see the light of day because they're chasing the people rather than letting the people chase them. So yeah as long as we keep paying to see Family and Furious, they're going to keep making them
