I agree…they really just bein overly sexual near porn level to keep the viewers viewing…and to use a hallucination for it all shows no creativity at all….. interested to see where this goes as an actual story (the character arcs themselves) or just an artsy way to exploit young people and fukkin’……seen ol’ girls titties more than all of season one in one and a quarter episodes already, and I’m not complaining, but it’s really a lazy way to keep viewers interested

You are both right. They are sexing up the show even more than last season but the show is also a deeper character/psych study than you wanna give credit for.. especially when they touch on addiction and not just to drugs or alcohol but to people..
Cassie for example is addicted to the attentions she receives from men. it's a problem a lot of young women deal with and sometimes never grow from.. they NEED to be loved by men or they are useless..

But the show gave us that same deep psycho analysis speak of the characters without being a tacky version of itself. Shock and awe is only shock and awe If it’s new and unexpected….imo euphoria is trying to hard to shock viewers instead of wrapping them up in a great story…. Because what we have now is a few basic story lines that aren’t that riveting…. Rue the drug addict, a love triangle between two female friends and a toxic father son relationship that no one cares about….
It’s only been two episodes but so far the show is leaning on basic human vices (sex, violence etc.,) to bring people back more so than a good compelling story…..
For example, aside from the last two seasons take half the sex away from GOT and you still have a great show… idk about euphoria yet

EVERY main character has glaring, serious issues. Rue being an addict is just the entry point. Some are obvious and some aren't.
I'm rooting for Fezco and Lexi only because they are both pure-hearted people, but they aren't naive or dumb.

The women on this show besides maybe Lexie exemplify the level of vapid stupid female tropes all across the spectrum
I get that they are supposed to be teens and make bad decisions to explain away all the dumb shyt but cassie pining after Nate on some I love him type shyt after she has literally seen and heard firsthand from maddie how abusive and controlling he is is really retard level
Then she shyt with Kat is crazy to me because it reinforces that women will never be happy with nice guys they want the toxic dudes like Nate and of course you see in the show this is true because Nate has basically slept with most of the female cast by now.
No lil meechie or Mckay this episode I guess we needed more boring rue scenes with jules oh and jules must have missed when she was sleeping with Nate, Nate's Dad, and sleeping with her other friends on Rue and now she's mad that Rue just has a crush on a boy who is her plug?
