I didn't even know you could kill guards in this game. I attacked one by accident thinking he was part of one of my quests. I attack him and kill him under 10 seconds. I saw a bounty nofitcation saying '' You will be killed on sight'' with a 300 dollar bounty .
Another guard came over and tried to help when I was killing the first guard and I was thinking I should run but it was to late. He got tatted up too and that added on 300 more dollars to my bounty. I literally had to sit and hide in the forest for 4 hours before that bounty went away.

Its no contest.
FFXIV is a great MMO.
ESO is an MMO-lite. It doesn't have near the depth OF FFXIV.
Square Enix is a huge AAA dev, Zenimax is a small fish.
Look at it this way. ESO does NOT have:
- Player Housing
- Public Auction House
Plus...
- 2/3 of the map is locked until you hit Max level (50).
- No text chat.
- Friends cant play together unless they're in the same alliance.
Plus, its hard to trust a game that was delayed for years and then had horrible reviews on launch.
FFXIV is, still better even with a monthly sub

I dont think anyone is saying that ESO is better than FFXIV. I've honestly never even played any of the FF's to be honest. I just enjoy ESO.

WoW has over 5 million ACTIVE subscribers who log on and play at least once a week. Their closing first quarter was their highest ever in its 10 years history. FF14 is a fad and will never dethrone WoW. Many have tried, all have failed
