Watched it again last night. Definitely try the book. The changes they made served the movie format well, like making the Atreides more likable and virtuous, giving Kynes a bad ass death, and leaving out more of the political skulduggery of the great houses and other factions.

it is really incredible tbh. I watch it periodically, and will buy whenever it leaves HBO. Everybody executed well, and the visuals were amazing. It is a classic in my honest opinion. The delay in part 2 was REALLY disappointing to hear about.
