Official Dexter Season 7 Thread - Beginning of the end

Season 5 had its moments (Dexter reaching a breaking point killing dude in the bathroom) but overall it was weak. Jordan Chase wasn't a convincing villain to me and I thought the season went out on a corny note. Bad guys like him and DDK would've been body parts by episode 3 in some of the earlier seasons. And I can understand Dex was slipping at that point, but it kinda felt like the writers were creating problems with weak opponents just to have conflict.

This past season got back into a lot of the things people liked about Dexter and it had 3 or 4 episodes that really stood out for the first time since season 4. I particularly liked the flashback scene where Dexter was re-creating a crime scene for Doakes and he knew something was off by how excited he was explaining it.

But yeah I agree with you. Top 10 show that never blatantly jumped the shark.

On another note I may be the only person that really like the Doomsday Killer, he had all of Miami like and made Dexter had excellent scenes with Mos Def Plus he was 100x times better than Jordan Chase and his wack ass crew... still have me like

so far i have seen seasons 1 & 2 .. please tell me they kept the series as good as these first 2 seasons!?

IMO It gets bad breh

I fell off the show after the third season, but my girl kept watching.....

This is the only show I can think of that gets extremely better on its 6 season after having an lackluster past 3 seasons

If it wasn't for my girl I would of missed the piffness of season 6

For a bum a$$ show, it still got people interested after 8 seasons. Also, @-Quikness-, check out Mad Men, no other show on AMC comes close to this level of writing. Its part of the Holy Trinity, so you gotta have this in your library.
