In 2021 I’ll admit his character would be laughed off so say what you will but for the time it was. His character clearly over the top but highly entertaining and “very Miami machismo” which I can get Bc I grew up and live here. You had to just let some things go but Smits made the character his own. I love season 3. All of the first 4 are simply classics. And I can’t wait for the OG show runner to do this justice.

I felt that season 3 was the weakest of the first 4 seasons mainly because there really was no threat for Dexter to be afraid of ( The Skinner was mild sauce at best ). Plus this was the season that introduced Quinn who is my MOST HATED CHARACTER of the series, Miguel Prado was the only thing that I really liked about the season.

You could tell they didn't know what to do with Masuka at that point of the series so they do the same dumb bullshyt every show does to womanizer characters lets just randomly give him a kid and we'll figure it out from there... only they never figured it out with Masuka.
