No BS…..is this really worth the watch? I stomached the original series, particularly after season 4, and thought it was trash. Liked the concept of the character in the beginning, but it went sideways after the original writers bailed. Before I waste time on it, is it better than seasons 5-8 so far?

matt's dad is clearly the one killing the girls, kinda glad they didn't go that route with harrison.


my guess is Dexter gonna get away with whatever kills he makes in that town, but the cop is gonna figure out he's Dexter Morgan through the info Harrison is leaking out in conversations with her daughter and shyt.

Harrison mentioned Dexter having sent a letter to Hannah after the series ended... or at some point... when did that happen? Did I miss the part where they mentioned that as a thing that happened? Or did they just casually drop it in this episode like we're supposed to already know about that?

But its doesnt matter if hes Dexter Morgan or Jim Lindsey. He is presumed dead, he was never found out about in his original run. The cop will either catch him or die by the end imo.

I really gotta watch the episode again. I think it caught me in a way that made me think "wait, letter? What letter? Was that something they'd mentioned already?" It felt like I'd missed something.

Either way, I'll probably stick with this through the 4th episode since early reviews were decent but only went to Ep4. So far I'm not really feeling it

Yeah it didn't happen in the main series. IIRC Hannah thought Dexter died in the series finale.

New Blood adds in that Dex contacted her sometime after his pseudocide.

It's not so much the exact facial features as it is a slim, brunette after years of chasing blondes. It's not a coincidence they did that, it's to evoke a Deb comparison.

At some point Dexter and Harrison will have to sit down and get a story together....as awkward as that will be.

Likely the adopted daughter will piece things together before the cop mom.
