No, regular Crucible is all the same. The damage/attack stats matter when you are playing something like Iron Banner or Trials

damage and defence values don't matter in regular crucible - only in Iron Banner, and Trials of Osiris. my year one Red Death will do the same as a year two for example and I'll take the same amount of damage from either one regardless of what I'm wearing. Even a green pulse from Y1 with the same range and impact stat as Y2 Red Death will do the same damage

if you like the Y1 weapon and want to mess with it in regular crucible or the easier missions, keep it but if it drops your level too low to compete in higher level pve activities and IB/ToO and that's what matters most to you, let em go.

just know that each class has a class specific weapon that you get from the gunsmith when you reach rank 2. to get it you have to dismantle rare and legendary weapons (fusions for warlocks, snipers for hunters, shotguns for titans) so y'all might wanna look into that before trashing everything. gotta dismantle more shyt at rank 3 but I haven't looked into that yet

It actually does put you at a disadvantage in crucible now. You wont get your supers or nades as fast.. Nobody should be wearing year 1 anything

This Destiny language is on some new shyt.

He's right, you should always wear your highest light possible because you really just fukking yourself if you don't you ever look at the reward screen and noticed the guy with the highest light get the best gear that's because bungie rewards is based on light level. Another reason is the shyt that matter is all attack based anyway so it's like why not get comfortable with the new gear and delete the old year 1 gear. @ dudes who still use Thorn and MIDA
