You doing good with old outdated shyt that doesn't translate to the new gameplay doesn't mean anything other than you could be doing better

It's temporary until I get year 2 gear that does the same I got 2 characters with 290+ light it ain't like I'm doing Kings Fall or even Iron Banner/Trials it's just regular crucible

He's right, you should always wear your highest light possible because you really just fukking yourself if you don't you ever look at the reward screen and noticed the guy with the highest light get the best gear that's because bungie rewards is based on light level. Another reason is the shyt that matter is all attack based anyway so it's like why not get comfortable with the new gear and delete the old year 1 gear. @ dudes who still use Thorn and MIDA

@JordanwiththeWiz @Goldz-n-hoez you guys are both wrong. Old gear has lower intellect/discipline/strength values so your super/grenade/special melee will take longer to charge but that's the only negative, and not a big one if you are good enough to not rely on those things

I'm using Y1 Red Death in crucible (still 2-3 bursts), used Matador for the Chaperone bounty (still a sniper), Nothing Manacles and Voidfang for grenade bounties, and Crota boots for heavy.

This been common knowledge since day one and nothing has changed brehs.

It actually does put you at a disadvantage in crucible now. You wont get your supers or nades as fast.. Nobody should be wearing year 1 anything

Armor sure, but not weapons.

He's saying that your reward screen is gonna be gimped. Your rewards in PvP are based on your light level - so you COULD be getting shyt that would take you to next level. Instead, you'll be seeing stuff around the realm of your year 1 stuff.

AND 'get comfortable'. As in, when IB and Trials come around, you won't be skruggling trying to see what works all after the fact.

nikka you get more heavy ammo with raid boots and since I still use the last word I still use my old HC reload gauntlets until I get gauntlets that don't increase the reload speed of sidearms the fukk don't you understand

You gotta look for some new piff... I got some boots that hold more ammo for rockets

That may be the case, I'm not sure but I'm around 250 in crucible with my setup and got legendary gloves at 286, a legendary boots engram that decoded to 286 and a Revelator (TTK version, it was a HoW hand cannon) at 274 so it's still possible to get good shyt

The boots have sniper or rocket ammo so the Crota boots will be retired soon

my light is 290+ in the heroic strikes and raid gear gets you too 300 so im good with those rewards until i get the appropiate gear

Nah Rewards got to be light level based on I'm grinding my other characters and they don't get the high drops like my main character

They are... I've put my high rare attack weapons in the vault for when I start my other characters.

Attacks do matter for real crucible like IB and ToO that's what I said. But I got all the year 2 exotics tho I been delete all year 1 stuff

I can do good with no stats breh, I go whole matches just sniping, no super or grenade kills - that shyt don't really matter. I rock it for the perks like quick reload, longer grenade toss, extra heavy ammo, etc. if you still don't get it, then nevermind. when I get new gear that's better, I'll switch but right now I use what I have and its makes no difference in the outcome.

how dope are some these weapon models. the ammo in Omolon weapons is like a liquid the same colour as the element. I'll prolly drop it when I get a 100 yard stare with good perks but for now its holding me down
