have you ever played a MMO over 5 years? People do NOT want to level the same shyt for years they want a new experience. What makes Gally so special? You can get it from a fukking nightfall. In most games like this you can only obtain the best weapons from a super long quest or the hardest raid boss. The level of progression will make people continue to play. The first year was pretty bad the DLC we paid for would have been free content in a real MMO. WOW had 6 expansions in 10 years this game is claiming 3 in on year? LMAO.. shyt gonna change man.. Eventually there will be another class of weapons greater than exotics.

you just ignored the part where i said make stronger weapons...by that i meant new weapons....i shouldve put that word in there...anyway, once they introduce new, stronger weapons, people will move on to them and stop using gally for most situations..right now, that's not the case....

what makes gally special? the wp rounds, that's it...

and miss me with that 'people want super long quests' shyt....as much as this game is an mmo, it's not a full mmo like WOW and people arent playing it like it is...the ones that are only cheating themselves, no one else....

actually the game only had 2 expansions in a year...ttk starts year 2 and is pretty much a new game...and will more than likely get 2 expansions itself....they just didnt call it destiny 2 cause perception, expectations, have the game will be received, etc. changes with that title...

i agree, there will be a class stronger than exotics...or there will just be stronger exotics than the current ones we have...

never said they were gonna keep everything the same....i dont expect them to....they will make changes here and there, but they not gonna change everything like you think....they not gonna do a complete overhaul to the game cause they dont have to cause people are still playing.....

yes it can, the same way it's continued to have success up to this point even though a lot of people thought it couldnt/wouldnt.....in regards to weapons, all they gotta do is make stronger weapons...as much as people like gally, if there comes a point where it's better to use this higher damage level weapon instead of gally, that's what people will do....right now, that's not the case....but i think starting with year 2, we'll see that...

also, this "10 year plan" covers like 4 fukking separate titles. there's still at LEAST another 12-18 months on Destiny 1 before they even head on to the next, current gen model. and, much like diablo 3, the devs have shown more than enough flexibility within their framework to make significant improvements to the game over the course of time. so fukk a gally - and it wasn't even a simple measure of "gally does more damage so its better"... ffs, the issue was that it was so damned above everything else that it fragmented a section of the community in a game founded on RNG AND it actively discouraged the use of literally every other heavy weapon in the game. that's really it.

also, TDB was almost definitely cut/paste in the game but to say that HoW was on the same level is entirely disingenuous. HoW reworked a significant part of the economy and introduced some shyt that plainly would not have worked at all in vanilla destiny.or at the least been directly against what vanilla pushed to do.

that is so not true about gally....is it damn good? hell yea...is it above everything else? hell naw...only ones shouting that are the sheepish people that only repeat what others have said and/or havent used other weapons in the game....there are other heavy weapons that are just as good and/or even better (depending on situation) than gally....gally is just easy to use, plain and simple...

and the only reason it fragmented the community is cause of people running around acting like elitists cause they had 1 and someone else didnt, not cause of how gally performs...for whatever reason, people feel the need to think they are above/better than others in this game, and they base it off of gear they have....hence the dumbass 'earned vs xur'd' debate...anyway, if people didnt do that dumb shyt, people wouldnt have felt the need to have 1 to feel included...seriously, there were people out there not playing with others cause they didnt have a gally...but since the people that didnt have 1 copped this weekend from xur, it has changed to people actually checking grimore to see when you got your gally and booting if you copped this weekend, smh...i really wish we could boot dumbass people like that from the game....

as for tdb/how talk - tdb mightve been copy/paste, but it was also bungie trying to do exactly what goldz is talking about: overhaul the game, hence the different upgrade material....they saw the error in their ways and HoW helped correct some of that shyt...and it seems ttk is gonna correct more of their errors and help streamline the game even more.....

no matter how you feel about whether it was with held from the game, it was copy/paste, etc., bungie got the most important thing right about both expansions: they finally made the game fight back, starting in tdb...before tdb, the game was just a punching bag....tdb helped correct that with the 2 strikes (i love those shyts) and eris missions (i wish we could the urn mission over and over)...and bungie continued down that path with HoW.....it seems they gonna keep going that way in ttk, which is great and all i've asked

the only thing that comes remotely close is Hezen, and even then there's a huge discrepancy on it because the inconsistent splash, etc - while the horn nails all of those quetionmarks with increased damage overall. the gjally is easily the best heavy weapon in the game for PvE by far. LFG and many communities gate access to groups based on who had a gjally and who didn't and because who had what was entirely based on RNG, nothing could be done about it. elitism exists in games like this because the tools necessary allow it too. if there's no "best weapon" then there's no reason to keep people out who don't have it.

spell out how they're the same. on even the most basic economic level, TDB added currencies to overcomplicate progress and lengthen the game while HoW did the exact fukking opposite. TDB added to existing end game content while HoW added 2 entirely new end-game avenues while allowing a way to transition previous content to the new expansion levels (which TDB didn't do).

saying that TDB and HoW were on the same level is just labeling yourself an idiot. if you don't like the changes, cool. that's not what you're saying though.

I think HoW was good, my only gripe with it was them going with Prison of Elders over a Raid, which if I recall correctly, they said previously would be in there. They then backtracked and threw in PoE.

I like how they gave PvP guys Trials and a clear cut way to get good gear... but in general, I think they should of had another Raid in HoW... and not something lazy like Crota's End.

All Exotics were created equally to him, no matter what the statistics say, people only abuse certain guns in certain modes because "they're easier to use"... not because they're just superior.

the gally is easy to use, that's why people use it, plain and simple...that doesnt mean there arent other heavies in the game just as good...people dont use those cause they arent as easy to use cause you actually have to aim....it's the same as the thorn debate...being easy to use doesnt mean better...

people use the ghorn/last word/thorn/matador/felwinter/(insert overpowered weapon) cause they simply do the most damage per second opposed to every other weapon in the game.
