They're doing away with Light Levels being tied to gear. I'm finally going to scrap my 2nd hunter and start my warlock. I have a bunch of exotics for it already in my vault

I was just about to buy the expansion and put work in. After seeing what they have planned I'm not gonna play this shyt anymore. All the people that worked hard to get gear, upgrade, ascend the gear, are getting slapped in the face with this.
I don't feel that way at all. Who really wanted to use Fatebringer for 10 years? FB shytted on everything in PVE from the base game, to Crota, to HoW. If I buy new expansions with new gear, make it worth my time and $, and make it better than the old shyt that I already got mileage out of.
Ascending was a bad idea to begin with even though it sounded cool on paper. So was re-rolling any new legendary weapons. Both should go, and the old and dusty should stay old and dusty

ok good to hear your opinion. Like I said I haven't been on Destiny since the first expansion dropped, so I'm just going on what I hear.
I think Ascending Armor is cool, because it gives us variety for customization. But re-rolling all legendaries was dumb and it made Iron Banner guns less important. Ascending all Legendaries wasn't necessary either because even at 300 they still were good, but in order to do the most damage you would just have to get some new piff.
you'll hear a lot of bytching from the Destiny community, trust me. I don't blame you or nothing in your position, but most of the community can't think for themselves. BUT that's primarily due to Bungie's design choices which is a whole other topic
if any of the OGs in here are really and truly upset the old legendaries will finally be getting
