Just to give yall a heads up, if you get to rank 3 with any of the side factions (not sure about vanguard or crucible) you'll get a guaranteed legendary weapon. I tested this out and so did a friend. We got rank 3 with new monarchy and got one of the legendary weapons they let you chose from at the vendor in the mail.

Also getting a legendary/exotic armor or weapon that you don't use or want isn't a complete waste. Dismantling these items will give you valuable materials that you use to upgrade the exotic/legendary gear that you do end up using. So if im a warlock and I get a titan exotic chest, I could use the dismantled material to upgrade the exotic armor that I may already have. Same goes for legendary items.

I'm saying though, I was damn near at Crucible Rank 1 and a half before I joined Dead Orbit not knowing what exactly I was doing. So the matches I played with the DO cloak on and the bounties I got for while wearing that all could of been used for my Crucible Rank... that's what I mean a waste cause I was trying to get my Light up and that seems like the best way to go, with the Crucible Marks/Rep or Faction Rep depending on when you start.

I haven't gotten any armor outside of my class yet though, but I've been dismantling a ton of stuff because I don't have room and if the Light is lower than what I'm currently using I typically toss it in the bushes and deal with the other stats that I'm working with. Sapphire Wire is the easiest thing for me to get in this game, along with Weapon Parts

another easy way to help rank up in the crucible: collect the things on each location, i.e. the spinmetal on earth, blossem on venus, etc...you can sell 50 of each to the crucible guy and it gives you points towards your rank....

Every night since release I play til 3 am it finally caught up to me. Got home yesterday at 6 and straight passed out. I think I did one patrol mission and fell asleep with everything on. This game has consumed me brehs. I'm off in a few days and I think I'll just use those days to catch up on my sleep

This right here brehs...been getting about 3-4 hours a sleep a night since launch night cause of this game...like a walking zombie at work, and all i can think about is how am I gonna cop some purples...shyt is straight crack...

I'm just trying to get in the 25-26 range by the weekend. When I hit Rank 2 in Crucible I'll be able to cop some gear (that's all I care about right now) and then I'll just start rocking the Dead Orbit cloak for everything else at that point.

Yeah I here ya. As of right now I'm in no rush to increase my level. I'm holding onto as many marks as I can until I can buy my complete set all at the same time or at least most of it. That way if I do get lucky along the way I can save on marks. Its a very patient approach but I'm trying to look at things in the long run and I don't want to have to back track or waste time.

I'm 25 btw.

It went terrible. We didn't even complete the first objective. You definitely have to everyone on your team at least at level 26.

All the PS4 Coli brehs on my list are level 20+, I'm sitting at level 14 and aint even finish the Moon yet. Spent way too much time playing crucible that I leveled up alot due to bounties and such.

Gonna have to Lone Soldier all the story missions I guess

I think that's a shotgun one but I'm not sure.

The shotgun trend is kinda out of hand in PvP. But I've been eating real good off it lately. And I mean off the people that have been "trying" to use the shotgun.

If I see them with a shotgun all I do is backpedal and shoot my AR and they barley touch me.

Idk how many times I've killed a dude with my back turned to him just because he felt the need to put away his primary gun and charge me with his shotgun. Sunslingers and Gods in melee range
