There are random people in the Tower that rep different factions that you can join. You have to cop some of their Class Armor and wear it during Vanguard/Crucible Matches and instead of your bounties/rep going to the OG rank it goes to whatever faction you're in.

If you're not wearing the their gear it just goes to the regular stuff though...


I'm Dead Orbit Set too, but I stopped rockin' the cloak during Crucible Matches because I had realized that I already racked up a lot of rep already for Crucible. So instead of basically starting over and applying the rep/bounties for Dead Orbit I'm just going to grind it out without the cloak on.

I haven't really done as much Vanguard stuff so I put on the Dead Orbit cloak when I do coop stuff.

I'd say you have to look and see how far you got in the regular Vanguard/Crucible Ranking before applying your rep towards to any faction.

Do the strikes do the dailies, the weeklies and the crucible you do those you get enough marks and rep to buy GUARANTEED LEGENDARY GEAR instead of hoping for the crytoptach

You probably shouldn't of applied your rep to a faction breh... once I saw how it worked I stopped doing that. It's like doing double the work

haven't even gotten to Rank 1 in the Vanguard or the Crucible tho should i just keep the DO Bond on and build on that?

In your case, you're good.

I had already accumulated a lot of rep for Crucible so I was like I'm not going to waste it on Dead Orbit. I don't have shyt for Vanguard really though so I'll apply that rep to Dead Orbit

I didn't know about it at first. Then I found out about factions and jumped in one around level 22.

I understand that, but what I'm saying is, before you joined you still accumulated rep for the OG Crucible/Vanguard...

All you have to do is go to the Crucible Dealer and see what rank you're at. And you can still get rep for Crucible even after you join a faction. You just can't rock the faction's class item when you're doing missions or matches

yea, i've played pvp a lot so far......and no, it's not...it's no more overpowered then the 1 shot golden gun nor the titan smash....if anything it's weaker than those cause you can throw it any and everywhere but where you want to if you not careful...it's less controlled than the other 2 supers....

the spot he talking about, skywatch, is the place i was talking about when the beta was out, where the enemies kept coming for like 15-20 mins getting tougher and tougher (increasing in levels) from both the fallen and the hive...the shyt has happened twice so far in the retail game....all you have to do is go there, keep killing the enemies, and wait...then all of a sudden you gonna see wizards, spheres, knights, etc. coming from both sides in a triple threat match: hive vs fallen vs guardians.....

Just to give yall a heads up, if you get to rank 3 with any of the side factions (not sure about vanguard or crucible) you'll get a guaranteed legendary weapon. I tested this out and so did a friend. We got rank 3 with new monarchy and got one of the legendary weapons they let you chose from at the vendor in the mail.

Also getting a legendary/exotic armor or weapon that you don't use or want isn't a complete waste. Dismantling these items will give you valuable materials that you use to upgrade the exotic/legendary gear that you do end up using. So if im a warlock and I get a titan exotic chest, I could use the dismantled material to upgrade the exotic armor that I may already have. Same goes for legendary items.
