Wrestling isn't just WWE (and now AEW) though. The real stories of independent guys who never got a sniff at "The Show" are just as interesting and compelling. And Nick Gage has a great story. Nearly died in the ring, had to be airlifted out of somebody's backyard in a field. Addiction. Bank Robbery. Prison. Whole THIRD ACT of his career. If New Jack deserves a DSotR, for sure Nick Gage does.

New Jack is a legend who worked for a legit company that people know about.

Nick Gage is a bum who worked in the owner of CZW's backyard and nothing more

The Swamp
great episode as usual.

however for next week, this is what a lot of fans were worried about with them watering down the series. no reason to waste an episode on some backyard wrestler just because he's close with Ambrose/Moxley

Renee had the two creators on her podcast this week. They said Vice asked them for 14 new episodes for this season, and they seemed really overwhelmed by the request especially with covid happening.

VICE only cares about ratings and DSOTR has given them their best ratings.

unfortunately if the money they're offering is good enough, the DSOTR producers are going to be forced to water down the series.

Didn't know the details of why his first wife killed herself and how foul his second wife was, the interview with Vince was nasty business too. Crazy what the kid was all going through with the stepdad and all that. Whole ep did well in documenting Pillman being one of the first to really blur the lines between work and shoot the way he did also, good ep overall
