I have a feeling if not theaters, VOD would be the option regardless. I don’t see a studio sitting on a horror flick.
i just want this released..im about to run through the first 2 candyman movies tomorrow on my day off

Those films got two totally different vibes.
Studio probably thinking getting that opening weekend with theaters full of black folks watching it together and hoping it goes viral (like "Get Out") is worth not going straight to VoD

thats facts...they want something like the "mbaku speech" or "ol' boy running a route in get out" challenge to pop off...they want a candyman challenge of some sort lol
