Juke's tomboy/dike. Juke got pretty for the formal and church. Juke is also 17 years old, why would Raq be dressing her?
There's no undoing of that at this point...

And she's got that "this is who I am" mentality.

Like how Iverson was with t-shirts and jeans :heh:

I’m sorry, but I do not think the writers of this show can turn this version of Kanan into the one we are familiar with in a convincing manner. I said this last season and the sentiment still has not waiver ever since. May be a bit premature, but it is what it is :manny:. I’m supposed to believe this iteration of Kanan will transform into the smothering old deaconess with pillows, son murdering, smiling and killing a niqqa for fun Kanan. The way Kanan is presented in power, I would think he would probably been a lightweight Kenard as a youth, but he’s more so a less spoiled and bratty version of Namond.

Low key, I truly think they are trying desperately too hard to show how Kanan and Tariq are similar through this prequel. Raq and Kanan’s relationship is similar to Tasha and Tariq’s relationship prepackaged retroactively, minus Ghost, Reina, and Yaz.
The actor lowkey been sounding/talking like 50/Kanan this season, very subtle but effective acting from breh. Its a hidden transition to monster Kanan.

Yeah, he has 50/Kanan vocal inflection down to a science just about. That’s not an issue. I just think his origin story is too akin to Tariq’s. I’m pretty sure most of us have thought Kanan would’ve been more a Kenard type or at least a Michael get it on my own type in comparison to what we are witnessing. But I may be impatient, but I don’t completely trust the writers with that transition. I’m not saying he has to become the Kanan we are accustomed to overnight, but we should have seen a little bit more smoke before the fire.

HES ALWAYS HAD 50S VOICE AND MANNERISMS DOWN FROM THE START.

WE'RE JUST TALKING ABOUT THE ACTUAL SCRIPT TO THIS POINT.

THEY HAVENT SHOWN ANYTHING THAT LEADS TO THIS KID BECOMING
A MONSTER.

HE SHOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN
ON THE BLOCK MAKING MOVES BY NOW.

INSTEAD HES JUST A BUMBLING KID
WHO fukkS UP EVERYTIME HE TRIES
TO MOVE WITHOUT HIS MOM.
