I loved the movie, brought me back to the 80's. Jamie killed it, it was like she was Ripley from "Aliens" or Sarah Connor from "T2". She was great. I grew up on the entire franchise and even "Halloween III" got spins for 80's babies. I thought they took some creative story decisions but to me I liked it. This is what horror is about, true Suspense. Everything doesn't have to be gory and in your face. But this had all the 80's cliche horror moments (Teens, Parties, Drugs, Sex etc) I loved you just didn't know where Michael was. John bodied the music again. Even though they seemed to basically retconned everything I still feel:

That's the trilogy. Nothing against "H20" or "Resurrection" but if you watch those three back to back. Wow. Michael might of snatched the 80's horror crown from Freddy and Jason with this. Anyways, great sequel.

What's different about the producers cut
ITS BEEN A WHILE, BUT FROM WHAT I REMEMBER, THE ENTIRE STORY + MORE DONALD PLEASANCE AND TOTALLY DIFFERENT ENDING. BASICALLY THE WAY IT WAS INTENDED TO BE RELEASED BEFORE PLEASANCE PASSED AND THEY DECIDED TO HOLLYWOODIZE IT.

Just watched halloween 3 for the first time
He didn't go back to kill Laurie. He went back to Haddonfield. The good Dr brought him to Laurie. Laurie was the farthest thing from his mind and the only reason they got together in the third act was due to that plot twist you either hate or love. Myers was more on her mind than he was ever on his. Therefore, they don't need to be brother and sister.
Again, lol why are you all arguing a point John Carpenter, the creator himself, has made for 30 years now. I get its your preference, that's cool. But the man has already poked holes in his own writing. This is like the saying Jay beat Nas when Jay got on radio, cried, and admitted he lost. At that point, sure you can say Jay won and all that, but if the man himself admits he took an L, then he took an L

THE CREATORS OF "THE NUTTY PROFESSOR" ONCE THOUGHT THAT INCLUDING THE KLUMPS DINNER TABLE SCENE WAS A BAD IDEA
SOMETIMES, CREATORS OVERTHINK THEIR OWN WORK......GOING WIT THE GUT INSTINCT ALMOST ALWAYS WINS.
