Lol you have societies that still exist where people are painted white for symbolic/ritual purposes. Dudes need to visit Africa instead of just wanting Africa to be presented like how White people present their things. It seems people just want an American movie with black people, and further exposes Western ignorance of anything they don't understand being "primitive". Ironically this is the entire theme of Black Panther of how everyone assumes Wakanda is "primitive" because they simply don't understand it.

People complaining about the rap music for the trailer.... The movie is like 90% black with a majority black cast, set in a fictional black country, with a black super hero as a lead and they are complaining about an instrumental track during a teaser trailer...

"Fruitvale" touched my soul. "Creed" was better than the last 2 Rocky films. It's looking like 3/3. This bro got next. He's proving his versatility as well. 80's babies doing big out here. Anyways, would be great if it could get that summer money but Black History Month is perfect. Based off this teaser I want a Trilogy. This is the most Sci-Fi Action Black Excellence since "The Matrix Trilogy".

Watch this movie is going to jumpstart Afrofuturism in film and is going to force black filmmakers to think beyond the usually cliche black genres that are comedy, drama and slave films. If this movie succeeds then we're getting more afrofuturism and films depicting black hegemony. Just watch.

I'm actually kind of disgusted at how few genres of black blockbuster films there are. I'm hoping for more variety, definitely in sci-fi and fantasy.

It's like the case of Liberia. Folks came from the west and looked at the natives as "uncivilized" because of their names, dress, and they werent christians.
