We should actually be happy they're waiting on a quality script first. Though I'd love F. Gary Gray to direct the focus should be put on character and plot.

Hopefully the writer has some synergy with Coates and the new BP comic reastablishes T'Challa's intellect, powers, and the Kingdom Of Wakanda so that they have something good to mine for the film.

Word. Plus, the script will be the number one reason why the movie gets critical acclaim. Marvel will not pick a scrub for a director. The script has to be on point.

I've complained about Hickman's portrayal of T'Challa in New Avengers, but the "passing of the torch" between T'Chaka, T'Challa, and Shuri was a very nice touch.

Shuri refused to leave. And as you can see, she refused T'Challa from staying too.

The job had to be completed, so she tells T'Challa to go on and buys him some time. She was still technically the Queen of Wakanda at the time so, imo, she felt like going down with the ship, so to speak.

When it came to Wakanda, Shuri was about that life, so I wasn't too surprised.

On some real shyt, I didn't like the decision by Hickman. I felt both should've left.
