Oh, not sure if this goes here or if there is a Luke Cage thread or whatever, but they cast Misty Knight. :noah:

No idea yet for sure, but events after secret war aren't a reboot...technically.

From the looks of it, it may be where Hickman left off (he mentioned Hickman specifically), so there is a good chance some Hickman and Hudlin stuff will be there by default. However, he did mention Priest too.

Personal prediction: canon wise, will be after Hickman, but will bring elements from previous runs.
:ehh:

Thanks.

Yea, I figured it was an older book, he had the old school look going on.

Lol, I just noticed Tigra had a damn tail.

She doesn't have a tail anymore? I didn't even notice. :ohhh:
Yeah, they did a number on her character.

Like I said, when she debuted she was basically a mute feral animal-woman. She'd scratch you and run and hide in a corner. She used to chase and eat rats in the Avengers mansion.

(I couldn't find a pic online so I took a pic with my phone)
I actually have one of the comics where she is eating rats. :lolbron:

First panel you can see her chasing the rat, then when they try and restrain her she is wilding out and USAgent smacks the shyt outta her...:mjlol:

You can see all she says is RAOAAAAR and REOW and stuff.
She is basically a wild animal.

Anyway, that was then.
Now she is carrying handbags and crimping her hair and sunbathing with her attorney bff, She-Hulk acting :mjpls:

shyt is crazy.

tehisi citing blood rule as an outdated model. That's a european slant if you've done the googles on african history and african cosmology.

Ahhhhhhhhh I see now.

Yea folks were like that's true, it is kinda outdated. But, in my mind, for the Wakandans, it actually worked. And worked for a very long time.

I'll give Coates a chance to showcase what he intended on doing. Hopefully, like you said, it's not too much of a euro-centric slant to monarchy and it's effectiveness (with the right leadership of course).

Yea for civil war. Just read them recently. They are better than I thought back then.

EDIT: you can read the tie-ins (and most of the hustlin run) here: Black Panther v4 022 (2007) ………………… | View Comic
Bad ass.

That civil war tie-ins were pretty damn good! People can say what they want about Hudlin (and i'm not his biggest fan myself) but he was on point there. It was a well told, fun story that added much needed substance to the main Civil War story.

Sales figures for those tie-ins were:

11/06 Black Panther #22 – 47,556 ( +38.8%)

12/06 Black Panther #23 – 54,762 ( +15.2%)

01/07 Black Panther #24 – 59,971 ( 9.5%)

02/07 Black Panther #25 – 56,479 ( -5.8%)

03/07 Black Panther #26 – 51,385 ( -9.0%)

and stayed in that range until about issue 30. He was cooking for nearly a full year

Word. And it was a great showing too, for both him and Storm especially. You end up seeing her in a different light.

Honestly, she benefited a looooot from the marriage. That was probably the only time you ended up seeing her beyond being a member of an X-men. She really could've been an important member of the Marvel Universe.

If Coates puts them back together, he cool with me :obama:

If Coates puts them back together and gives the middle finger to everyone who hated and tried to bury that relationship he's GOAT simply off GP
