Is this villain an albino brutha or just an albino with black features? .....as for the pilot, it was the bomb diggity. The black excellence the black women (except for the ex wife ) the look of the powers the suit the theme song my dude that played Dexter dad & ol boy from the warriors ....hopefully they don't cut the budget too bad along the season and future seasons so it keeps up the puffness..how niccas just taking electricity to the chest for long periods of time tho

Why did it take me half the episode to realize the youngest daughter is Jasmine from House of Payne? . I knew her voice sounded familiar.

Overall I thought it was a really strong first episode, it definitely has a different vibe/look than the other Arrow verse shows. I know Black Lightning is trying to get back with his ex-wife, but the way his assistant's ass was poking out .

Did Albino gang boss just harpoon Lala . Whoever said that actor resembles Charlie Murphy .

I can see why now he exists in his own timeline in the arrowverse it seems that racism is very minimal and has no major effect on the Black characters lives.

I just hope they have him in the crossovers

This show is like if you took the wire; Family Matters (first two seasons when it was realistic) and arrow and put in a blender

I'm not crazy about the wire but they did a good job of showing that not all gang or drug dealers are psychos and Lala strike that balance

I enjoyed the pilot but like others mentioned, they need to chill on the music sometimes.

It always annoys me how a tv show almost feels obligated to play a rap song when it comes to a black superhero.

Same thing happened with Luke Cage.
