I don't believe in Post-Convention bounces much anymore, or at least in this election. Most of the people who are going to Vote Dem, hate Trump, will be voting for Biden. Plus in this case, it's not like there is a choice between choosing sides as Trump, aside from all that he has done, hasn't shown a plan for his 2nd term if he won it.

Instead all he has done is double down on his base, who would be voting for him.

So it effectively wipes out Independents as they will be voting for Biden for the most part.
The calls will be starting

This was expected, this isn't like any other election because most folk had already made up their mind and the Kamala pick wasn't drawing any undecideds over...

That's why the Kamala pick was bad IMO, she doesn't bring in any voters Joe already had...

The important thing to take away from the convention is Joe killed the speech and came off real strong thus his support remains strong...

We been over this in the VP thread...

30% of the base are far-left progressives that felt cheated by the establishment...

Could of chose Warren and thrown them a bone, instead the Dems went with Wall Street's pick...

Doesn't matter that Warren, Bernie and AOC said go vote, what matters is that 30% has no representation on this ticket...

The establishment made it clear with this ticket they're betting on folks voting for Biden because Trump...Forget about policy, we can't give Trump 4 more years, that was their whole message at the convention...

That IMO is a dumbass bet...

warren didnt get 30 percent of the primary vote, she doesnt automatically bring anyone

honestly, if someone is a progressive and has a hard time choosing between biden harris and trump pence, then that person is an idiot that probably doesnt even vote. kamala has enough appeal to the suburbs that picking her was strategic enough

exactly

Democrats will vote Dem in November

it's more important to win over voters that stayed at home or rolled the dice with Trump in 2016

which should be a given since no Hillary is atop of the ticket this time :lolbron:

The only good move is to position himself towards the middle and pick off the republicans that are upset with Trump. Most progressives are smart enough to know they're better off fighting with Biden to enact policies than they are against Trump. Harris was a pick to appease the centrist black female voters that wanted a black woman as the VP.

1. No that's not a good move because those Republicans are a minority which Biden is most-likely not going to win over...A good move is unifying your base which this ticket is ENTIRELY dependent on Trump hate to do...

2. A large number of progressives are not smart enough to know they're better off fighting with a centrist, see 2016 election

3. Biden polled better than Kamala did with black women during the primaries...She literally does nothing for him, and the lack of a convention bump proves that...She's the VP pick because Wall Street loves her and the establishment wants to set her up to run in 2024...Biden is a one term POTUS...
