Trump was about to lose it. That "I did more for black Americans than anybody with the possible exception of Abraham Lincoln." Then stormed out of there. He knew he couldn't hold back anymore so he bounced.
What they are saying, is that it's untrue that he is the first racist, given our history. I think the attack still works, and maybe can be taken as "most racist, in post 1960's era", over qualified, but still.

The problem with that comment is that people (from leftists to Fox News to Woke Twitter to MAGATLR) will spend more time attacking Biden for saying 'first' and ignoring the fact that he openly called Trump a racist. Which he is.
