Its not about policy at all. The Biden campaign is a lot smarter than people give them credit for. If they are doing this, then its clear they feel that they have movement among Republicans looking to vote for Biden and his platform in the short-term.

That's not something you turn your back on.

Same goes for the Lincoln Project who I think have officially been ousted from the GOP for the foreseeable future. They've already stated they are targeting any senators that want to interfere in Biden policy after his election(if it happens).

No one thinks these people are Democrats or support the platform. They are independents that you would rather have than not.
