it's why im glad we're running biden :yeshrug:

at the end of the day, young kids will vote for whoever the "D" is. but those older white voters can swing for biden; he's one of them, he's relatable, he's not a "socialist", he has some midwestern appeal. i think he can get enough of them
Trump is cooked. The only way he can “win” is if he cheats and steals the election.

Only three presidents have failed to win re-election since the 1933 - Ford, Carter, HW Bush. I'm not counting JFK because he didn't have the opportunity to run for re-election (though most historians believe he would have easily won), nor am I counting LBJ who left office instead of running again. So yea, of course Trump CAN win.

But the odds are stacked against him. The economy isn't going to magically return to normal, with at least two major states (Texas and California) currently paralyzed by the virus, and another (New York) moving at a snail's pace to avoid another resurgence. He has botched the virus response not once but twice. The resurgence we're seeing now is a direct result of his failed leadership, egging on red states to commit suicide in order to "fix" the economy. Well it's not gonna work.

I don't care who the VP is, or whose convention has the most people, or whatever other shyt. All I care about:

1. Who wins Michigan and Pennsylvania
2. Can Biden continue to run strong with elderly voters
3. Will black turnout return to near 2008/2012 levels

Both MI and PA have early voting/mail voting. They both have democrat governors. They both have democrat secretaries of state. I expect dems to win both, honestly...but I could be wrong. If I'm right, Biden will become president. That's the ballgame right there.

Personally I’m not writing 45s Presidental Obituary in June. The trends are favorable for Biden and hopefully they stay that way big picture. That’s said 45 will have some victories during the campaign. Polls will slide his way, they change campaign leadership and they get a little wind on their sails. It’s going to happen so prepare accordingly.

you know what ive been thinking about lately? i wonder if this is the election that people finally show up to vote

what is it usually, like half of eligible adults vote? and we know the youth rarely votes. i wonder if its different this time around

If mail in ballots are in play it’s possible to be super high turnout

I don't think that the dynamics of the race will change significantly. Trump will probably receive a slight bump after the RNC but not a substantial one.
Unless there's a MAJOR scandal that comes out against Biden, the dynamics of the race aren't going to change.

Most people made up their minds on how they were going to vote in this election on November 9th, 2016. This is not 2016 and Trump is not teflon. I'm not saying that Trump can't win or Biden is guaranteed to win but this election is a referendum of Trump. Based on the state the country is in (which is unlikely to change) and based on the fact that Trump hasn't expanded his base in 3.5 years, the election is Biden's to lose.

That's just my 2 cents :manny:.

JUST IN: House Democrats have unveiled a bill to expand former President Obama's signature health care law in an effort to make premiums more affordable as well as to increase federal Medicaid funding to encourage the remaining states to expand Medicaid. The measure draws a contrast between Democrat and Republican approaches to health care ahead of the November election.

House Democrats on Wednesday unveiled a bill to expand the Affordable Care Act as they seek to draw a contrast with Republicans on health care ahead of November's elections.
