I’m tired of Democrats playing scared. Trump reallocated got damn military funds for a useless border wall.. Democrats need to force Republicans to defeat them by showing how evil they are instead of not doing something because they feel it will fail in some mental projection. Republicans get away with their nefarious ways because Democrats never force their hand
A lot of you guys crave a left wing dictator, but don't want to say it.

Is what Trump did bad on principle or because you merely didn't like what he was doing it for?

It's a question a see people skating around regularly here.

As far as student debt, is it problematic that he wants congress to pass the law? Or do you just want to see him skipping congress without trying?

That needs it's own thread. So many layers to peel back. How many of us watched Trump in disgust vs how many privately watched in admiration....

A competent benevolent left wing Trump wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world to be honest.

What Trump did was bad on principle but if he was fighting for morally right things it could be seen as just.. we’re going to a philosophical realm now..

Pragmatically there’s no way in hell a Republican led senate or 50/50 senate with a filibuster still in place is going to pass any type of meaningful legislation. Executive orders is the only option until Democrats control the senate and end the filibuster

A left wing Trump who gave people free healthcare, UBI, legalized marijuana, reformed the police, forgave student debt, passed reparations, at least made community college free and did it all to “own” the conservative ghouls would legitimately get a place on Mt Rushmore

We just did "force their hand." And it's hardly the first time.

Stimulus checks: House GOP kills bid for $2,000 checks

Forcing it through an executive order for student loan debt may not be the way to go.

Very philosophical. Especially when the same things could then be repealed by the right facist....

Him still being against the decriminalization of marijuana in 2020 is just beyond ridiculous for the head of this party.
Decriminalizing marijuana was actually apart of Biden's platform. With a GOP Senate or even a 50/50 Dem senate, it will be nearly impossible to decriminalize marijuana.

Also, marijuana is really a state/local issue more than federal. The smarter strategy is to decriminalize marijuana at the federal level and allow each state to set their own marijuana laws. Of course, some states (mostly Republican ones) won't decriminalize or legalize marijuana.

Finally, remember that decriminalization doesn't mean legalization.

Who would vote for the fascist if this left wing Trump tangibly improves the quality of life for Americans?

Lots of people say Trump improved their quality of life.

Lots of people said Obama was worse for their quality of life.

The thought in our mind that these things magically cures America doesn't take our inherent biases into consideration.

Right wingers. Left wing governments still have right wing opposition parties. :francis:

The problem here is the supporting the centralization of power in any one branch of government.

The irony here is that the benevolent king's purpose is to hand power back to the people through democracy. I'm not sure the process works in reverse. :patrice:
