If we want to be cynical, I don't think these polls have taken into account any possible whitelash to the protests. It definitely doesn't take into account the "defund the police" narrative going around now.i forget who said it, but those 70k votes trump actually won by in MI, PA, WI, and biden wins those just by not being hillary clintonsounds about right
dont underestimate reopen hype though, brehsif it starts opening up and unemployment goes down under 10, trump still has a shot to ride that wave. he is the incumbent

I've looked into the 'defund the police' proposition over the last few days. This is definitely another messaging issue, not necessarily a policy issue. Dems are just terrible at messaging.
The Democrats did not message defund the police though. That is a grassroots movement by activist groups.
