he is right. i never see any chicano person calling themselves latinx other than social issues activists, and the majority of latin activists i have ever met were generally immigration or labor activists, not focused on gender or whatever. both labor and immigration activists stay in the community all year long because the issue never stops being relevant, which in turn, makes people trust them more when it is time to vote.
