From skimming through the post made since I’ve been sleep...
...I think it’s fair to say the left has no idea how people on the right think and feel (assuming people here represent Democrats).

We have got to stop assuming people are dumb and only vote because of racism.

There is a whole world view that you all dont get.

Its not about race...the Republican party (conservatives) are never going away...
...I dont care if all of a sudden everybody in this country turned gay and black...there would still be people who think like someone on the right.

the negative ROI :mjlol:

hopefully dems learn now the R’s are what they are, and your efforts to convince them are going to be wasted

focus on turnout, and pulling in people who haven’t voted before to vote

what needs to be studied is how R’s got the turnout they did, because dems gotta work on that. I’ve heard their efforts to micro target non-voter types on social media (based on their interest in hunting, guns, NASCAR, etc...) and convincing them to vote was quite advanced

Basically some white men didn’t vote, while black people held steady so the republicans lost the upper Midwest

on the other hand latinos went for trump
That’s why democrats performed poorly in Florida, Nevada and Texas

Arizona was a big surprise, remains to be seen whether that was latinos or John McCain fans angry that their boy was disrespected

I think Arizona, like Nevada and the West Coast, latinos are much more progressive there than texas or florida.

It's insane and sad (and not surprised being on the coli) though that trump improved his numbers with everyone else but white men:hhh:

What wouldn't have worked, because the of bubble Repubs are in and the massive amount of voter disinformation. Bernie was being called a socialist in the primaries. It would have stuck.
it's possible it would have stuck. Again, I question now if Bernie was the guy to actually deliver his policies, but I think it was worth a shot. Because at the same time he couldn't be attacked on dementia issues or the '94 crime bill, or being another neo-liberal centrist. If the DNC had really put their money behind him and insisted Vote Blue No Matter Who, then I think it could have worked. Most of the Biden votes were to get rid of Trump. Let's be real. If Biden wins then damn near any Democratic candidate could've won, but it just wouldn't have been a big victory.

If Bernie ran on the platform of giving M4A to ALL Americans given that we are in a national pandemic, I promise he tickles up a lot of the black and latino votes that went to trump. Keep in mind white people (and mostly older white people too) were Bernie's lowest supporting group. Bernie actually had women and minorities very well fighting for him Many white men went back to Biden this year. So a lot of those white men give Bernie a shot yesterday, and Bernie could've kept a lot of the minorities and women from going to Trump. If people don't have to go bankrupt if they get cancer or serious Covid complications, I think they'd vote for Bernie or anyone else offering that deal.

People want some shyt to believe in breh. They want something to vote for. Bernie had a lot of mainstream things that people on both aisles wanted. 87% Dems support M4A you think they're suddenly gonna walk if he's on the ticket? That would have been red meat for the base.

The Deep State
Let's talk about the disinformation on social media sites. That definitely impacted this election especially when to comes to non-White people and why trump improved his margins with all of these voters.

The amount of right-wing, pro-Trump information that circles around on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc definitely swayed a significant amount of Latinos (especially Cubans), Black people (especially those that don't pay much attention to politics), Asians (especially the Vietnamese) and others. It's crazy that this information was able to be so widely spread and this is going to be a HUGE problem going forward for the Democratic Party because this disinformation effects them much more than it effects Republicans.

The next 2 years are going to be so terrible. Also, if Democrats don't flip the Senate in 2022, then yeah, say goodbye to America forever. This country has shown it's true colors. So many Americans will choose blatant right-wing fascism over normal center-left policies just to attain a higher status - whether it's wealth or to be perceive as "white" or "white-adjacent".

Sickening. I'm now much more highly thinking of moving to Canada or New Zealand. Almost anywhere but America would be good. This country is complete trash.
Yep. And lowkey I’m mad at ADOS ONLINE for thinking they could ever negotiate with trump or that fracturing democrats was ever a remotely political positive thing to do. We need ANY DEMOCRAT. All this posturing was unnecessary
