Just to try and see what must be going through these people's heads, I watched the first few minutes of this video. I couldn't take anymore so I had to cut it off, but like @AnonymityX1000 said, he absolutely did not pander to that crowd. Or at least he didn't play them like they're stupid. In the first few minutes, THREE people in the crowd loudly say things, and he points a each of them and then starts riffing on what they're talking about. When he's at his rallies he's in his element. Obviously he's a con man at work, so yeah I guess he is pandering to these people, but like @AnonymityX1000 he is not treating them like they're stupid. He's taking them seriously and playing off of what they're feeding him. He talks shyt to the establishment, and he makes it seem like he's one of the common folk like them, and an underdog.

He's a gross man but after watching a few minutes it's pretty obvious to me why his crowd is ride or die for him. The left has no one that is engaging with OUR BASE in the way that Trump is able to engage with his. Skip to 1:05 and 1:25.

Pretty much. People treat Latinos as if they're a monolith and they're not, which is why vying for statehood in PR is stupid. They're unpredictable. But again, we knew in advance that they were not breaking for Biden like that.
