Right. The Reagan/Bush days are over, for them it's the national populist shyt that Tucker Carlson promotes

But it must be quite difficult for a Dem to really wash the other side in a presidential race. The right will back any Trump-esque candidate.
I'm definitely worried about a populist candidate that's more effective at implementing their ideologies than Trump.

One thing I hate to admit, but I respect about the GOP is their ability to support the candidate that their base wants. The GOP hated Trump in 2015 but he's who their base wanted so they got behind him. The GOP feeds their base in a way that the DNC doesn't, and I worry about that going forward. I think on the left we need to get our house in order and try to get on a unified page, because now we've got at least 2 wings of the party, and things are a bit fragmented.

but most people use them interchangeably given the high overlap

Never knew that but it makes sense. At least the Hispanic side makes sense since Brazil is a Lusophone country. Spain tho, I dunno, they main language is Latin rooted as is elements of their culture. Whatever, if that’s how they feel. :ehh:

Good points, but I also feel like party lines are very crazy now. I think it's more of a have-nots vs the haves / the people vs the establishment era and not just a left vs right era. We've seen people that have voted democrat their entire life voting Trump in 2016 and we've seen people that voted Republican their entire life voting for Biden.

The Republicans and Democrats of the 90's when Clinton won and when Bush won in 2000 and 2004 aren't the same ones of today.

I think a big problem (probably another topic for another day) is that the DNC are still fighting most Republicans as if their constituents are the same Republicans of the 90's and they just aren't.
im just trying to figure out where these republican votes are even coming from

im in shock... hes been around 40 percent approval all year, trailing in all these polls...then out of nowhere after all this shyt with covid, all these people come out wanting four more years?

this should have been an easy blowout. this is the single worst presidential term we've had in decades and half the country is fine with that?

think a lot of it has to do w/ cancel culture and the transgender issues in the news.

it makes it easy for people to look at Dems as weirdos that the elite control to do their bidding (why you see all these pedo accusations).

Latinos tend to be conservative...they see all of that and want no parts of it.

I think in 2012, in 2008, in 2004, 2000, that would be true.

In 2016 and 2020, its full on racism, hatred and xenophobia. Thats the sales pitch right now for the Republican party.

pretty much why you need a cult of personality. the dems better find their next obama - someone with the credentials the coastal elites will respect, young enough to engage the youth, came from a very average background to relate to the blue collars/everyday man, a minority or someone high credibility in a minority community and a great orator who says just enough to excite you but not enough to turn you off (by sounding too progressive or too moderate)
This right here. Most people aren't really going after policy.

They're voting for personalities. :francis:

I am absolutely floored on how Trump was able to expand his base considering his original 2016 base was diminished because of age. He really made inroads with white women, Hispanics (in crazy fashion) and some black men and women.

I’m absolutely shocked and fascinated by this. Absolutely shocked by this
He’s an incumbent. America tends to re-elect our presidents. Him losing would be more abnormal.

"Sorenson said the county is working with software company, Dominion, to fix the glitch.

Meanwhile, Sorenson said the county has been approved to use a three-person committee - one Democrat, one Republican and an election official - to review the roughly 60,000 ballots in question. The county said it hopes to get a complete count between the software and the 3 person panel by sometime Wednesday."

He does not officially have either NV & AZ just up in both. His lead in AZ is fairly strong but his lead in NV is not a far gone conclusion.
His lead in AZ is as safe as it gets...

Same with NV...he killed it Clark county, its over...

Those are blue states, you can wait all night for corporate MSM to announce it for you or you can do the math yourself breh...

I'm telling you those are safe confirmed blue states, Cheeto simply does not have the votes...

Indoctrination.
Boat parties.
Trump flags.
It's sports entertainment.

Edit:

It's really no different than how people get looped into fraternities.
