1st Round Playoff Exits
The ER docs at our hospital have had their hours cut and now get paid by patients they see instead of hourly. They also have to pay for their own scribes instead of the physician group covering the costs. The hospital also stopped letting physicians, PAs and nurse practitioners get free food from the cafeterias :what:

Never seen this Barry before but god damn dude has taken his goat status to another tier :wow:
People need to see it. Especially this close to the election. Somebody has to come at trump in a language he understands. I'm not against stooping a little as long as you get back up.

The voters need to hear it.

Not sure I buy this. (If Trump loses) I’d expect turnout to decrease next time assuming Trump doesn’t run again. I think this is a historical, one-off Election where people realize this guy gotta go no matter what. Next time when it’s Ted Cruz or somebody? Maybe the urgency isn’t there.

But democrats should do everything in their power to make voting even easier. That alone will help the numbers next time.
the key for democrats is making sure they 1) make trump a pariah. this can be done through the media as well, they have to make sure that they write history on this one
2) whoever the 2024 person from the repubs is most likely will have been supporting trump for one reason or the other so they'll have to hammer that home which will only be more effective because they made sure point 1 actually happened

that should set up a win for the next 8 years hopefully

edit: this would apply all down ballot as well

Gentle suggestion for the folks here. Even if you're not in a battleground like me you can do targeted phone banking in states that are. It helps to have conversations with those that are lazy and apathetic about voting. And if you're lucky like I've been you'll get 2-3 people to commit to a voting plan each session.

I promise it will help distract you from watching polls and anxiety around all this shyt.
Drop some links and/or create a thread to get more eyeballs.

I did the text banking a few times and it seemed more of an annoyance than anything.
I did some phone banking for Elizabeth Warren during the primaries. Got a few convos but a lot of wrong #s and people hanging up.

At the time, it felt disheartening but currently, I realize that ~90% voters have made their minds up already and/or have already voted and so indifference/annoyance is par for the course. The expectation shouldn't be that our calls will turn Trump supporters Democratic, but that for that 5-10% of the time when we hit someone who is undecided and willing to engage, we can nudge them in the right direction, which we know can win an election on the margins.

Maddow has been talking about doing things that make a difference politically instead of just passively participating after voting and this is an example.
