Texas And GA aren't even all that shocking because HRC made a pretty noticeable improvement in Obama's 2012 numbers in the 2016 race the problem is folks get so caught up in red state blue states they don't even look at the numbers and trends

People have a legitimate right to be scared though. Look at what happened in 2016...Polling showed Hillary was on pace to win then 10 days later the director of the FBI got involved. WI, PA, & MI (democratic states) go in favor of Trump. Now jump to 2020. We have to worry about if this election is going to be close and if Trump loses will he contest the results through the courts.

Texas has been nudging slowly towards being purple. 2030 it will become a pure battleground. Sure Republicans will always have Oklahoma, Wyoming, Dakotas and the Bible Belt... but they have let Texas suddenly become territory for the Dems to take.

I mean New Mexico has been blue for a while, but Arizona looks to be blue and Texas has a chance. If Texas is a battleground, Republicans might never get the Presidential office. A California-New York-Texas instant pickup for Democrats is a killshot before it starts.

This may sound elitist, but Texas cities are attracting too many educated professionals for the state to remain a Red state for long.
