All this talk of Georgia and North Carolina and Florida and Texas is kind of irrelevant. Biden winning any of those states would be icing on the cake, but none of them will be the difference-maker in a nail-biter.

Let's be real: there is no way Biden wins any of Georgia/North Carolina/Florida/Texas unless he wins EACH OF Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

In fact, the ONLY swing state that I can see Biden winning if he loses even one of Michigan/Wisconsin/Pennsylvania is Arizona.

So that's why it really comes down to Michigan/Wisconsin/Pennsylvania. At most, Arizona could be insurance for losing one of them.
That’s simply not correct and negates the fact they are also trying to maximize paths to victory. Say that Biden loses FL and PA due to whatever. If he takes 2 of AZ, NC and GA combined with MI, WI and MN then he’s basically good. The demographics, and likely internal polling makes those obvious places to play considering his funding. They have the cash to cover worst case scenarios and people are upset about it. Makes no sense.......

I'm not saying that they shouldn't try to explore all paths given the money they have. And I'm not upset about them targeting lots of states. I'm just pointing out the fact that what happens in different states is correlated.

Do you really think it's possible that Biden will lose PA and win in NC or GA?

Come on.

The problem with this though, is that we don't know, though it's suspected that you only have Antibodies for a few months; so it defeats the purpose of having a herd immunity when people will just get sick again.

Herd immunity isn't even a thought without a widespread vaccine. :francis:

Anybody talking about herd immunity being an option right now has no idea how herd immunity works :beli:

I don't disagree with any of this. I'm just saying that, win or lose, Trump has lost all interest in containing this virus, so that's the plan he's going with regardless.

And even if Biden wins, he's gonna have a steep uphill battle to climb because people will be tired of dealing with the virus for nearly a year.

Yes because of the demographic changes in both states. So if you are using 2016 logic I would be more inclined to side with you. I realize everyone is not in on every post here but we’ve been talking about demographic changes opening the door in both those states for 10 days now.
