I was on a zoom with a co-worker today and she was talking about watching the debate. I’m pretty certain she doesn’t follow politics closely. She’s going be totally lost on why Hunter Biden has anything tangible to do with this election.

This is anecdotal but on my drive to work today I'm driving through the hills and it's all Trump country in that part of the state, all white.. but I'd say it was 50/50 Biden/Harris signs now.

Do I expect Biden to win those areas no but there were no Hilary signs in 2016 out in the hills.

I'm hoping Biden has made serious inroads in those type of communities all over.

I'm 100% fine with this and everyone knows I'm not Bernie stan. If Biden thinks he can get into office and let republicans dictate everything, he deserves the heat. If dems win the senate the first order of business should be ending the filibuster. Because there's 0 chance republicans allow Biden to add a public option to Obamacare, increase subsidies, etc etc. Hell they won't even let him pass a decent COVID stimulus. He has to act. IF he doesn't end the filibuster, he will be a one term president and the economy will fail. Straight up.

Will Bernie be happy with a public option instead of M4A? No. But he's not gonna throw a fit over it. Hell, he'll be writing the Obamacare update bill anyway. I think his comments are moreso about if Biden gets in office and does jack shyt, or works with republicans to pass some half assed bill (in a scenario where republicans even work with him, which I doubt).

yeah you can't attack a known old white man who has been around forever the same way you would a minority, a woman or unknown white man. if it was obama who had crackhead adult kids then maybe it resonates the way you want it too. but a white child with addiction issues, they feel that. you're tugging at heart strings.
