What happens when that 3% get sick or severely injured and need costly surgery under Biden's plan?

they’re shyt out of luck?:yeshrug:

but that’s their decision. Most of those opting out are males of working age.

They spend thousands a year on health insurance 3k-4K. When statistically they only spend $250-$1k a year on healthcare, until their mid 40’s.

If pay out of pocket, 3k savings a year for twenty years is 60 grand.

that’s their choice to do what they want to do.

even if it’s not something I’d do, if someone wants to keep that money to himself. That’s on him. He’s a grown man :ehh:

But if he (or up she) winds up not paying that's a variable in insurance costs that will increase premiums and unnecessarily increase government spending on healthcare. It would be better to cover everyone and slightly raise taxes to eliminate free riders the Biden plan tolerates.

They are still paying. The individual mandate. Everyone pays something.

It’s just mathematically some ppl still save money paying for the individual mandate and not having insurance.

And that’s ok.

I thought the mandate no longer applies, stricken down by the court?

naw it’s still hasn’t been struck down by the Supreme Court. It’s technically still in place they just lowered it to $0, Biden will just raise that amount.
