Did the Democrats do anything like that after McConnell blocked Obama's judge for the entire last year of his term? How about when he hypocritically said he would fill a seat in Trump's last year on the national news?

It had never been done before the first time he did it. Them not doing anything about it, for any reason was proof they're weak. He said it in front of a large crowd and it made the national news even if he he didn't say it on the news.
Assuming the Democrats are going to fight Republicans is a bad bet.

No. He said on national TV that he'll confirm a SC judge at the end of Trump's term. Which is a 180 from he said during Obama's term.
