Because in light of everything happening, he's astute enough to know that it won't pass. Had people lay their job on the line for the ACA. Progress is incremental when you deal with a side that values loyalty to a party over anything else. We need to work to condition the masses that this is the right way because most people in America do not believe it to be.

Yeah, watched that Funky Academic segment on Rising. Dude hit the nail on the head. Black people especially down south are just traumatized by how they been treated and can't get to where they believe the government is going to help them. Extremely valid albeit sad and it is the government's fault and the sad thing is to get the trust back you got to do multiple things for Blacks specifically while trying to get elected down there. It's the longest of shots. So there really isn't any recourse. Our country is doomed.

Most Americans support Medicare for all, more than at any point in history. You put your foot on the necks of anyone who votes against it and make sure they lose their elections, not just give in before the fight even begins.
