In hindsight, I think we were delusional to think a grassroot movement could take on the juggernaut alliance of establishment Dems and Mainstream Media. We also underestimated the power of older low information voters who just wanted a return to "normalcy" and overestimated the influence of social media.

Going forward what we need is a strategy to market progressive ideas to a much larger audience. The establishment fought dirty and destroyed Bernie's campaign masterfully. Its time to admit it. We must fight them one their level and be just as ruthless. Afterall we're taking on BIG MONEY here. They have a crazy amount of leverage.

Also, going through the political process may not be the best way to start a political movement. What we may also need is our own Yellow Vest movement with massive civil disobedience

Primaries are tough. You have to be tuned in to go out and vote in them. Even with Trump in office the majority of the vote is 60+. I believe that Bernie would do better in a general which is a cultural event in this country with his message. But the rules are what they are and his team should have done a better job painting Biden for who is really is outside of Obama's shadow.

My only gripe with this whole thing is Warren. No way I believe she didn't endorse because of some online supporters. It's a silly excuse and quite selfish. She obviously didn't see him as a the guy to carry things on or had policy differences.

People are incredibly stupid. America might be the stupidest “developed” nation in the world. Our idiot population gets hustled every 4 years by prostitute politicians and their wild neoliberal pyramid schemes of fukkery for the masses.

Anyone that can convince you to not vote for your interests is an idiot. The govt is paid for and essentially employs some of its most important decisions through us. Yet somehow it’s some wild notion to make that govt work for you. Lmao goddamn America is stupid...:russ:

True but we cannot underestimate the power that mainstream media has on influencing popular opinion. Mainstream media was done a pretty successful job of convincing people to fear socialism.

Of course, it’s a two way street. You have to be an idiot to let the mass consent producing machine that is mainstream media fool you like that. Most people just take CNN or msnbc’s word for it because we’ve been brought up in an anti-intellectual or at best an intellectually lazy culture.

That should’ve been the program from the jump. I’d say once our generation actually takes over the progressive movement on all fronts that’s when we’ll see some of that same energy being practiced back. At this point, Bernie needs to cultivate this young generation of voters into a full blown political party of its own. You’ve gotta be a fukkin idiot to try to be a radical and play a conformists game.

I am Bernie supporter but calling people, asking them to get behind your candidate in order to win isn't illegal, or trifling or anything like that. Yeah, we wish he was on our side but he's not. What they did was strategize to win. I wish Bernie did the same.
The message appeals to young people but not enough for them to vote in high enough numbers to win. We have a group of zealous supporters but they don't form a majority. We need to keep fighting to get the results we want. Hopefully, we have a salvageable country by the time that happens.

He's gonna drop out soon but he needs to make sure he's keeping people engaged so that people don't blame him if Biden blows it.

I honestly don’t want to win if we have to do all this shady shyt because it comes with a price. You think you’re just gonna hire political insiders and then what win the election and keep your same agenda? It doesn’t work that way
