:bernielaugh: Wolf's follow ups also were coordinated :russ:

so clear

Also, when they asked Bernie why he didn't do more for Hillary, he got pretty defensive and even said Hillary sent me a thank you letter for all the events he did for her in Fall 2016. He took that personally. :leon:
theres nothing more he could have done

they're holding him to an unfair standard.

1. When he mention the policies he supports he need to explain how they will help Black people as a whole. For Example: when he say he supports the Green New Deal, he should state Black people will have an specific opportunity to get trained in these jobs. He does this when he talks about the mainly White Coal Workers in West Virginia. He also does this when he talking to the White worker class as a whole. He should also make a commitment to put Flint and other Black communities a top priority when it comes to environmental cleanups.
2. Don’t just say you support criminal justice reform. Trump actually signed weak criminal justice reform into law. Give me specifics. Ex: Are you going to push to make cash bail illegal? What about the problem of police brutality? Do you have a plan for that?
3. Reparations: there many different ways he could do reparations. He mentioned redlining but gave no solution to the problem. He could easily push for a program that give Black home owners grants to remodel their homes to help combat the property value lose Black home owners endured because of redlining. Along with that he could push for federal grants that help Black oriole with buying homes. This is just one idea. It doesn’t have to be direct check, and he doesn’t even have to call it reparations.
4. I can name several other examples but I think you get the point. A lot of Black people (including myself) what to me sure we are not a afterthought when he pushes for these programs. Bernie needs to make us believe that he has an understanding of issues that effect us. I don’t dislike Bernie and I support a lot of his proposals, but we can no longer let politicians get away with treating us as afterthoughts. This apply to every candidate that is running.
i agree but then you cant turn around and be like yeah im excited about voting for some centrist. like i said mad times. ok you dont like bernie, show me someone who is better and lip service doesnt count. its funny how suddenly when theres an actual lefty running, NOW its "oh what specifically is he going to do for blacks" but that was never a question when you had all these neo libs running that everyone ran to vote for like doug jones,

I never said I dislike Bernie. I dislike his position on reparations, and I think he struggles when talking about Black issues. Just because I criticize Bernie doesn’t mean I want a centrist to win. I have criticized Kamala Harris, and Joe Biden about their records on Black issues as well. I hold every candidate to the same standard. One of the problems I see with some of Bernie’s supporters is that y’all don’t take legit criticism of Bernie well. He must get better when he speaks on Black issues. Elizabeth Warren has been much clearer on this.

I’m still weighing my options at this point. If Bernie gets better on these issues I might end up supporting him. I like Elizabeth Warren more, but I think Bernie has a better chance of beating trump. I also like Tulsi Gabbard, but I need to know where she stands on some of these issues as well.

I have. Most of the tread is about if she hates Muslims or not. I still don’t know much about where she stands on Black issues. I do know she introduced legislation to decriminalize marijuana, and has stated that she don’t think the police force should have military grade weapons. But she has so little name recognition it doesn’t really doesn’t matter. Plus the media hates her so I doubt that she will ever get enough traction to any kind of threat.

Malcolm X was a Muslim. Muhammad Ali was a Muslim.

as far as i see with gabbard, she has some ties to far right hindus in India and she had an interview where she was juelzing about the US doing torture, which is kind of ironic since her main thing is being anti interventionist now, shes my 3rd choice behind bernie and warren
