Ryan Grim always assumes Warren has the best intentions. Cenk, Emma and Sam Seder have the same problem as well which is part of why we're in this mess. This article is dangerous because you have to look at the voter crossover appeal from a state to state basis. If Warren was out, we'd be winning Colorado, Mass and California by massive margins. We'd be in the 40's in Cali.

Trump will win but in the event he doesn't I'm ready to read about the pros and cons of Biden's climate advisors by David Dayen :hhh:

Or the think pieces about how we're bigger than Bernie and we're just getting started and how AOC will save us from plutocracy in 2024 :lolbron:

Here's my devil's advocate take...

I believe 40% of her supporters has Bernie as 2nd choice. So yeah, that nearly half would help no doubt.

But that other half?

Some of those suburban white women, college educated liberals, more upper middle class types... Bernie ain't on the top of their list.

Warren may be the reason Biden doesn't get as much support coupled with the Bloomberg effect.

Now, we won't know until tonight. I know most of us are prepping for worst case scenarios. But this fukkery may all help Bernie :hubie:

I sorta like that y'all are going wild pessimistic because then you won't feel so bad when the results come out. My prediction is a completely ambiguous result. Bernie comes out ahead, wins less than we want him to but more than Biden wants him to, and at the end of the day it sorta maybe feels like he's still in the driver's seat but we really don't know. Disappointing compared to where things stood a week ago but not nearly as bad as some of y'all are talking scary now.
Things are also going to change now that there are less candidates, in debates Biden will be forced to speak more and will be attacked. That can shift things further if Bernie comes out ahead today

If it gets to that point then I fully expect for Obama to give Biden some rep. Tonight is going to be crazy.

Agreed let’s see but our margins would be massive in Colorado, Mass and Cali. There’s crossover in progressive states

if Biden walks in with a plurality, he should be the nominee. It would never happen cause the DNC but I’d pissed if I was a Biden supporter and there was Bernie/Warren voodoo delegate magic at the convention to get one of them the nominee

i'm definitely entering tonight with caution but don't trip too much about Nate Silver's model. It's honestly out of wack until tomorrow. It had Bernie winning states by margins that really overestimated him after Iowa. Biden definitely has some momentum but it's swinging too much in his favor imo.

If Biden pulls off Texas without any organizing until the day before, while Bernie's team spent millions, it really proves campaign infrastructure (calls, texting, canvassing) doesn't mean shyt and that earned media narrative is the undisputed kingmaker in politics.

So before the campaign sends me another email about canvassing for the millionth time, maybe use some of that 50 million dollars to go to the press with some useful surrogates? You got Julian Castro lying his ass off on MSNBC for Warren but hey he's doing his job. Yeah I get that we are at a disadvantage institutionally but maybe this 1v1 with Biden will make it happen.

You got our comms director bragging about total views on Bernie's tweets. Wow Bernie is dominating online I'm shocked

But it looks like the campaign is actually gonna take the Biden threat seriously. Ads going up in Ohio and Michigan attacking Biden

How disgusting would that be? It's like why even fukking bother?
