Worst case scenario seems to be firming up

projections of Bernie only getting 515 delegates and leading Biden by only dozens

A week ago projections had Bernie getting over 600-650 delegates
I’m hoping chucks operation over performs like it did in Nevada for the two big states :sadcam:

I’m actually not concerned about Bernie. I know nikkas are hungry and gonna be out in force volunteering.

I want Biden to not be viable in a couple places and to see if Bloomberg messes him up

Sort of rooting for Bloomberg in the south too

So worst case scenario we’re going to be winning?
Yes

But worst case seems to be leading by 60-70 instead of 150-200

BEST CASE is Bernie outperforming and getting 700 delegates and being up by close to 400. But highly unlikely now

How am I 'in my feelings" when I'm speaking rationally? :stopitslime:

Look at my posting for Bernie over the last 5 years. Over the last 5 weeks. Over the last 5 days, the last 5 hours. I've been putting in as much work as anyone and taking down fools left and right. I'm just saying that we should do it well.

You didn't even offer an explanation for why shytting on other politicians' supporters as a group is supposed to help. Think about it for a moment - how have attacking "Bernie Bros" helped them? It only galvanizes and cements the opposition while doing nothing for the base. Obama's "they cling to...." speech, Romney's "47%", Clinton's "deplorables"....attacking the other group's base always backfires. And those were in the general - attacking the other group's base in the primary is 10x as counterproductive.

Look, I can't do anything to make you agree with me. I can only lay out the facts and the argument and my reputation as a poster. Take it or leave it.
listen to what i said. i'm not just talking about you when i say you. i'm talking about any of YOU that get in your feelings like that. This aint a game. GET OUT OF YOUR FEELINGS. I dont care what some troll says to anyone online. DO YOU or DO YOU not agree with these progressive ideas? YES OR NO. Do you or Do you not believe bernie will at worst die trying to get these things passed? Yes or NO.
if you're answer is Yes to both, then the hell with your online hurt feelings. in addition, the establishment getting called out for what they are is a necessity to wake up the regular people. those people know who they are, they know what they're doing, they dont care. so they are just being super disingenuous.

You do have to speak truth. You shouldnt dodge and duck the truth just to make people who hate you or hate those that love your plans, happy. and it does everything for the base to do this. call out liars, call out cheaters, call out selfish people. this increases the base of progressives because not everyone is on that BS. no matter how much msnbc, cnn, or fox news says so.

I sorta like that y'all are going wild pessimistic because then you won't feel so bad when the results come out. My prediction is a completely ambiguous result. Bernie comes out ahead, wins less than we want him to but more than Biden wants him to, and at the end of the day it sorta maybe feels like he's still in the driver's seat but we really don't know. Disappointing compared to where things stood a week ago but not nearly as bad as some of y'all are talking scary now.

Bernie's ground game is gonna have to show its muscle tonight. Biden has not been in most of these states and Bloomberg is all flash.

I'm not freaking out like some of these dudes on Reddit and Twitter but I do wonder if people are willing to meet this challenge and actually come out and vote for a worker based campaign. If Bernie can do well here it will be bigger than most people think down the line.

Recorded the last podcast while the numbers were coming in from SC and still hoping the gap would close instead of increase. But that at least spurred a bit of election talk and had me hella focused on circling stories into electoral issues. A rundown:

Intro
Colorado college launches cannabis degree program 04:15 - How these classes are a sign of the economic benefits we're locked off of without legalizing.

East Rutherford murder 34 years ago 10:10 - local newspapers are worth s scan

South Carolina primary 16:15 - Biden looking up big, we react in real time and look ahead to Super Tuesday. We didn't foresee Pete and Amy dropping out right away though which may change the reactions a bit but genuine Bernie head reactons are here.

Politics by memes 23:55 - A lot of people, especially Trump supporters are blatantly just echo'ing memes. We have a bunch of people who only learn politics from their timeline scans. We vent on the problem.

Let me remind you 25:50 - Bit of lighter stuff, Candyman hype and Dunkin Donuts straight up giving out a sleeve of Bacon.

NJ expands free college options 32:30 - We talk up Free College and use this to circle in Bernie again (and Warren). Free College plans are already being unrolled at state levels, the idea that this is some pie in the sky move that's just too expensive flies in the face of what is actually happening not just around the world but in some of our own states.

The Coronavirus 47:45
Will undocumented people turn themselves in 53:45 - We start laughing at the story about 38% of people not drinking corona though I'm skeptical. But then get into the real of it. The big gap in worst and best case scenario, lack of preparedness and the circumstances in this country that could contribute to more spread than necessary. This circles into Lefty and Bernie strategies too. The Trump Admin likely has illegal immigrants too scared to turn up for corona tests even if they have it. That's not to mention people who go to work sick because they can't miss a pay day. That's still not to mention the people who won't go to the doctor because they don't have insurance or are worried about the costs associated. Our system has made us more susceptible to the virus spreading and the Trump Admin covering up things or barely testing for the virus only exacerbates it.

The come up by ParIz 57:00 - Future Guest J Par has a new album out so we close with some of his music.
