the movie had some ups and downs, but overall enjoyable yet frustrating as hell that there aren't more entries in this series. martin shines in these movies

the bad:

• chemistry felt off for the beginning of the movie, not just the rift on screen, but they didn't seem really immersed in their roles
• needless ridiculous posrche drviing scene....but glad they kept the trope going
• shyt hurt watching cap die
• needed our shyt talking latino partners vargas & reyes
• the witch prodigal son angle....him possibly being able to get out of jail to help with cop work after killing a police captain, judge, DEA agent, CI, and running drugs

the good:

• seeing reggie in the delivery room
• martin was hilarious, i miss the breh
• chemistry came back around the van scene
• bad boys overkill action/explosion fukkery

edit: i agree this was the worst of the 3, the main storyline was such a stretch/corny and the layoff took its toll, regardless of how many people wanna act like it didn't. that said, it's still funny and worth a trip to the movies and follows along nicely in the bad boys world. but to me, this movie would've been better as a fourth installment, jumping from 2 to this is like night and day

Mike Lowery's son gets redeemed after killing the beloved Police Chief and a judge on top of that
the other cops at the precinct have to be looking at Mike sideways if somehow Mike Jr. gets released because of who he is
The Chiefs family have to be looking at Mike like
Can you imagine dude walking into the Police station reporting to the new Captain that only has the job because he killed the previous one

I said the same thing to my boy, ain't no way a dude that killed a judge and police captain will see the light of day

breh woulda been fried on sight...that shyt was the biggest no sell of the movie, and that's after i had to suspend my disbelief at the estranged son angle and will somehow breaking through to him during an explosion ridden firey gunfight

Lol naw alot of the times he tries to get a black love interest and when they can’t get one they go to the next minority. For instance in Hitch he was trying to get Halle Berry but her schedule was too busy so they went with Eva Mendes

Probably not Reggie. He was just thrown in as a nice cameo for us fans. It wouldn’t make sense for Marcus to allow his daughter’s husband and the father of his grandchild to team up with him and Mike on dangerous missions. The studio would probably want the members of AMMO/ Mike Jr/ and some new faces and possibly bring back Gabby Union to be the “family” for Mike and Marcus if they truly are going to go the F&F route with the franchise.

The eye candy in this movie

the over the top explosions

Martin and Will’s chemistry is untouchable

Villains were though I did see the twist coming

Also enjoyed the AMMO team, I’m guessing they’ll take up the mantle eventually


Best scenes were the airplane scene and when they were in the club talking about how long it’s been since they had sex

5/10, most of those scripted jokes fell flat or were cringeworthy, along with DJ Khaled and the reggaeton dude as the comic relief/bad guy. Then the plot twist was some fast and furious shyt

I agree.....But do to the nostalgia of my childhood, I'll be generous and give it a 6/10
