I said it before tonight, and I’ll continue to say it until I see otherwise:
Episode 1 set the foundation for this season. They’re going to hate Europe and Loquavius or whatever his name was is Paper Boi. The rest were Earn, Van and they even had a kid with a Nigerian name (Lanre//Darius).

I don’t fully “get” this episode but I get that white people were doing whatever the fukk they want. Like Ep1.

My theory on Van. I think it bothers her to see Earn being successful and living his dream when her dream never got off the ground.

I think its more so that being successful and living his dream took him AWAY from her. Remember Earn was once dependent on her for a place to stay and she never judged him for it. His independence went hand in hand with the dissolution of their romantic relationship.
